Sigma 55-200mm Tele Zoom

No messing , if you want a new lens give this a try http://www.collegecameras.co.uk/

Now the reasons.

Brilliant next day service.

Welcoming and helpful on the phone'

Prices as good as any where  I can find on the net.

Found this brilliant company by chance, I had the lens on order with an other internet supplier but they could not give a delivery date.
Time spent on the net trying to find someone with it in stock was getting me nowhere, all of the well known suppliers had been tried with no success.
One more Google search to see if I could find one resulted in finding College Cameras, it was listed  and one phone call proved them to have one in stock.
Give details of payment and delivery address and next day I have one lens in my hand.

Not just lenses but most things photographic, ring before lunch and get next day delivery, this is the kind of service that deserves congratulations.

I will post a few pictures in the near future ,so that we can see if this give away price lens, is as good as a lot of people on the net say it is.

PS,  it was £10 cheaper than from the people I first ordered it from.
£89 plus P&P

I have now had time to try out this lens under a few different conditions and it has not been a disapointment  in terms of optical performance.
One small problem is the fact that the zoom ring seems to be a little bit to stiff , it may ease of with use, we will have to wait and see.
A selection of images may be seen on the new album page, STUDY ON THE STATION.
In use it is easy to hold at the longer lengths due to it's small size and weight, it has good contrast and all images deliver a good amount of punch.
The focus speed is on par with the Olympus lenses and as long as you give it a good target to latch on to hunting is at a minimum .
All in all it seems to offer real value for money, larger apertures would be nice but would of course cost more.
