The Raynox DCR 250 is a close up lens of multi element construction that has a spring loaded adapter
making it suitable for a wide range of lenses.
All of the photographs in the macro gallery, have been taken using the adapter lens on the
front of my Panasonic FZ 10, most of the time the zoom is set to a 35ml equivalent of 420ml.
I purchased the lens from Ebay for the sum of £32 incl P&P from Dortmund in Germany .
Lighting is taken care of by the use of an external bounce flash fitted with a home made
diffuser and deflector.
The camera is set to Manual with settings of 1/100 @ f8 and the auto focus switched off,
focusing is taken care of by rocking to and fro because of the very narrow depth of field
and the flash left on auto [the diffuser is used to regulate the light output] all very
Heath Robinson but it seems to work.
The supplied adapter does what it says and holds the lens in a very secure manner.
I spent a good amount of time searching the internet, looking at reviews and write ups, before making the decision to buy. Question. Would an add on lens produce a good enough image.Judge for yourself, I have printed some of these at A4 and can find no reason for complaint.
Heath Robinson would be proud
